Link Bait Coaching

Posted: July 1st, 2010 | Author: Lyndon Antcliff | Filed under: Lyndon Antcliff | Tags: , , | No Comments »

After about a years break I have re-opened Link bait Coaching. It’s a small group of like minded people with me as the host helping members to build links to their website by producing exceptional content.

I am only accepting 30 members and as I write this it’s already half way full.

Please don’t join if you are looking for a pleasent, tip toe through the daisies kind of place. If you are the kind who wakes at 3am wth an idea burning your brain and jump out of bed to blog it, then you are the kind of person we are looking for.

When I say don’t join if you don’t like hard work, it’s not a marketing trick. I really mean it, only the exceptional few can succeed.

Lyndon Antcliff – Interviews

Posted: March 13th, 2008 | Author: Lyndon Antcliff | Filed under: Lyndon Antcliff | No Comments »

Been doing a lot of interviews lately, I thought I would get them all in one place.

Lyndon Antcliff interview at Distilled – regarding linkbait
Lyndon Antcliff interview with Michael Gray aka Graywolf – regarding local search
Lyndon Antcliff interview with Hobo SEO regarding linkbait and social media marketing
Lyndon Antcliff interview with Kelvin Newman regarding social media marketing and linkbaiting

Most of the interviews are about my linkbaiting exploits. If I find any more I will add them.

10 marketers I want to get email newsletters from

Posted: December 18th, 2006 | Author: Lyndon Antcliff | Filed under: Email Marketing, Lyndon Antcliff | 2 Comments »

Having signed up for any email newsletters about affiliate marketing, I have decided to cut the list down. It’s an interesting excercise though, you soon realise who offers real, useful, non duplicated information and who just wants to give you sales pitch after sales pitch for products you don’t really want or need.

People who I will keep getting emails off include
Mike Filsaime
Mark Joyner
Perry Marshall
Rosalind Gardner
Dan Kennedy
Michael Gray
Andre Chaperon
John Carlton
Russell Brunson
Andrew Wee

Dan Kennedy Super Conference

The Dan Kennedy Superconference 2007 is open for business.

Here is a clip from the site.

Recently, I polled the members of just one of my coaching groups, and they reported combined personal income increases over the past 2 years of $19-million to $22-million. My best estimates of my Platinum Members, ‘private clients’ and members of Bill’s coaching groups would easily take the total beyond $150-million to $200- million. There’s simply no way of estimating the total of all Inner Circle Members, but it undoubtedly exceeds a Billion Dollars.

5 cool Internet marketing blogs

5 Cool, Internet Marketing Blogs

Adventures in Net Marketing
Kaizen Marketing
WHO-1
Andre Chaperon
Andrew Wee

Why have I chosen these guys instead of the big names like Seth Godin, Marlon Sanders, Armand Morin. Actually my favourite for podcasts and articles is Perry Marshall.

These guys are cool because they are fighting in the trenches. Unarmed combat, tooth and nail stuff. They have not made it to the top of the mountain yet, but they have sturdy hiking boots and a good map.

They do not bullshit.
They do not oversell any of their products.
You know you are getting the juice from these guys.

Andre has it down for writing good copy, what he is doing is a blueprint to success.
Andrew Wee is a master at networking, and should be watched as the next big guru.

The others have provided me with info which was useful and hopefully profitable.

As a newbie to the Affiliate marketing game, particularly the Adbank marketing game (adwords/clickbank) it’s good to be plugged into honest providers of information.

They are close enough to relate to, but ahead of the game to be worth paying attention to.

Go check them all out now!

More posts on the Death of Online Marketing – Mike Filsaime

Posted: November 13th, 2006 | Author: Lyndon Antcliff | Filed under: Lyndon Antcliff | No Comments »

I got most of these posts from good old Technorati.

What I noticed is that lots of people posted but only a few posted original comments, which leads me to belive either they didn’t have a strong enough opinion to write them down or they didn’t read the ebook and just chose to post the supply copy.

This is stupid on a number of fronts.
People like to hear other peoples opinions, even if they don’t agree with them. (Check the Dead Trout post)
Posting suppiled content makes you look lazy.
Google will not love you and you will trigger the duplicate hammer.

Even though I liked Death of marketing and agreed with most of it, the post I most enjoyed reading was the Kick Start Daily Meanderings dude. Most because it was contrarian and he sounded like a grumpy old man, and that tickled me. And you absolutely and utterly knew he was speaking straight from the heart with no bullshit.

Guess what? I am going to visit that guys blog a bit more often.

Marketing is persuasion. It’s not about getting someone to like you. It’s not about making friends. It’s about getting someone to do something you want them to do.

So todays blog of the week is Kick start meanderings.

9 Reasons why Internet Marketing is Dead – Mike Filsaime shock report

Posted: November 12th, 2006 | Author: Lyndon Antcliff | Filed under: Affiliate Marketing, Clickbank, Lyndon Antcliff, Online Marketing | 1 Comment »

Mike Filsaime has published a report detailing The Death of Internet Marketing. He achieved fame by publishing the fastest selling ebook of all time and has made millions from internet Marketing

Here are my notes from it.

Lack of vision is a short term strategy. Using techniques that are short lived will not build a long term business.

Infinate opportunity overload is distracting you from success.

The Internet is very efficient, but if you are paddling up the wrong stream it doesn’t matter how efficient your canoe is. What you need to be is effective.

Marketing a niche is still a cash cow. If you become an expert in your niche people will still flock to you. The big boys are too bloated to move quickly into a niche.

“You decidism” rules the web. Dig, delicious, reddit, you decide what people read. YOU, not some DJ with poor jokes and bad breath. Youtube.com gets more views than most TV channels.

Build a business that will last and last and last. Short term is stupid term. Get with it and build your house on rock, not sand.

Create tight, kick ass, loyal groups of like minded people who trust and support each other. One kid in the bedroom business plan is finding it harder and harder. Your clan/group/posse/society/homies can take on the world and make your reach more powerful than it is.

Small strategic, well thought out moves may be better than a huge, kill em all product launch. You get to learn from each phase. People do not get swamped. A far more intelligent way to market an informational product.

Watch the legal stuff, failure to read the small print and avoiding copyright battles can pole axe you.

Matt Levenhagen, Campaign Blasts and a dead trout.

Posted: November 11th, 2006 | Author: Lyndon Antcliff | Filed under: Adwords Marketing, Affiliate Marketing, Clickbank, Lyndon Antcliff | 2 Comments »

Campaign Blasts (aff) is a how to make money with affiliate marketing, mainly using Adwords.

The ebook, written by Matt Levenhagen, was talked about on another blog I like so I thought I would take a look.

First thing, todays date is shown as if the sales letter was written on the very day you read it. Sigh! Is there anyone out there who actually thinks that. To me it’s an instant turn off and although I am an affiliate marketing virgin I have been Online marketing since 1998, so I may be a bit jaded as know that the reason the days date is shown is because of a little script. And I bet most people know as well.

It’s a little thing, but do we really gain anything from insulting the inteligence of our readers.

OK rant over.

I didn’t feel very excited whilst reading the news letter, I don’t know if Matt wrote it or paid 5 grand to some expert copywriter, but it doesn’t grab me by the cahonas like a good sales letter should.

Not sure who the ebook is aimed at, as it teaches you how to register a domain. Are there really people out there considering starting an adwords/clickbank business who do not know how to register a domain.

Perhaps quite a few, but I doubt it.

It may be that the product suffers from a poorly written sales letter. At first I was quite pleased there wasn’t the usual 18pt bright read headlines with quotes around them, screaming at me to pay attention or they will come round to your house one night and wake you with a large, dead trout. But found myself not grabbed by unquenching irrationality to purchase said product.

Nor was there the relentless bullet point lists of the benefits and advantages of the ebook. The ones that plug straight into the primeval savage part of me bypassing thousands of years of civilisation and rational thought.

No, the product is probably good. It’s the sales letter that does not do it for me.

Well Matt, if you are reading this and want me to review the ebook you will have to send me a copy as I’m just not juiced up enough to reach into my back pocket and hold that cold plastic credit card in my hand, and punch in those numbers.

But that’s just me.
