Affiliate Project X has finally been knocked off the top spot by Ultimate Wealth Package. Having bought Affiliate Project X I know that is a fantastic product for those going into affiliate marketing. Giving sound advice it hard to see why anyone wouldn’t buy it.

I have not bought Ultimate Wealth Package, couldn’t really understand what it was about from the sales page, apart from I get to live in a tacky condo with a huge fireplace if I buy it. But, someone must be buying it as it has climbe to the top.

If someone can send me a review copy I will give you the skinny.

I am amazed at how Rich Jerk manages to stay in the top ten. I have not bought it but understand that is worth it, it’s basic stuff, and if you are starting out in Internet Marketing it could be useful.

No look, I know that a lot of this stuff is available for free on various forums and blogs. But which forums and blogs and what articles on these forums and blogs are bullshit. It has been known for people to protect their marketing knowledge by deliberately dishing out mis-information.

But buying an ebook on a specific topic can give you the info in your hands in minutes, saving you months of ferreting around. Of course if you think your time isn’t worth much then go for the free stuff. The way I see it is I am saving time and fast forwarding my business aims. Mostly the stuff costs about 50 quid, which aint going to break the bank.

Ewan Chias’ Secret Affiliate Weapon is one I bought. It’s one of the cheapest products around but give you access to a blog, podcasts and ebooks all dedicated to making you an effective affiliate marketer.

Dominating Clickbank by Andrew Fox has got a bit of criticism from a number of marketing blogs, the techniques described may not work effectively if everyone knows about it, but I have not bought it so I leave it up to you to decide.

Hopefully this will make it easier to track where your buyers come from. Hooked up with Adwords traking it could prove very useful.

It may be more difficult to track what the super affiliates are upto now, but we will have to wait and see.

Lack of vision is a short term strategy. Using techniques that are short lived will not build a long term business.

Infinate opportunity overload is distracting you from success.

The Internet is very efficient, but if you are paddling up the wrong stream it doesn’t matter how efficient your canoe is. What you need to be is effective.

Marketing a niche is still a cash cow. If you become an expert in your niche people will still flock to you. The big boys are too bloated to move quickly into a niche.

“You decidism” rules the web. Dig, delicious, reddit, you decide what people read. YOU, not some DJ with poor jokes and bad breath. Youtube.com gets more views than most TV channels.

Build a business that will last and last and last. Short term is stupid term. Get with it and build your house on rock, not sand.

Create tight, kick ass, loyal groups of like minded people who trust and support each other. One kid in the bedroom business plan is finding it harder and harder. Your clan/group/posse/society/homies can take on the world and make your reach more powerful than it is.

Small strategic, well thought out moves may be better than a huge, kill em all product launch. You get to learn from each phase. People do not get swamped. A far more intelligent way to market an informational product.

Watch the legal stuff, failure to read the small print and avoiding copyright battles can pole axe you.

The ebook, written by Matt Levenhagen, was talked about on another blog I like so I thought I would take a look.

First thing, todays date is shown as if the sales letter was written on the very day you read it. Sigh! Is there anyone out there who actually thinks that. To me it’s an instant turn off and although I am an affiliate marketing virgin I have been Online marketing since 1998, so I may be a bit jaded as know that the reason the days date is shown is because of a little script. And I bet most people know as well.

It’s a little thing, but do we really gain anything from insulting the inteligence of our readers.

OK rant over.

I didn’t feel very excited whilst reading the news letter, I don’t know if Matt wrote it or paid 5 grand to some expert copywriter, but it doesn’t grab me by the cahonas like a good sales letter should.

Not sure who the ebook is aimed at, as it teaches you how to register a domain. Are there really people out there considering starting an adwords/clickbank business who do not know how to register a domain.

Perhaps quite a few, but I doubt it.

It may be that the product suffers from a poorly written sales letter. At first I was quite pleased there wasn’t the usual 18pt bright read headlines with quotes around them, screaming at me to pay attention or they will come round to your house one night and wake you with a large, dead trout. But found myself not grabbed by unquenching irrationality to purchase said product.

Nor was there the relentless bullet point lists of the benefits and advantages of the ebook. The ones that plug straight into the primeval savage part of me bypassing thousands of years of civilisation and rational thought.

No, the product is probably good. It’s the sales letter that does not do it for me.

Well Matt, if you are reading this and want me to review the ebook you will have to send me a copy as I’m just not juiced up enough to reach into my back pocket and hold that cold plastic credit card in my hand, and punch in those numbers.

But that’s just me.

His sales letter starts with “How To Start From Scratch And Get Your Own List Of Rabid Buyers In Just 11 Days..”, I love it. Imagine packs of rabid buyers roaming the web waiting to devour your products in exchange for cold hard cash.

I would like to know who wrote the sales letter as it’s a bloody good one. Let me put in on my to do list. Tell you what, I will email Michael and ask him but only report the news on my email list. See, already you get something juicey by signing up to my list.

OK, I have not bought the list building system yet but each time I read the sales letter my juices get going and I itch to buy. It’s not the money, it’s the time. Also I’m not so sure about videos, I prefer to read. You can print out and ebook and take it anywhere with a pencil and marker pen. Also, you get to write on the ebook and I take lots of notes when digesting this stuff.

Also, Michael Rasmussen has brought out a similar product and it’s difficult to differentiate between the two.
